Installation and Repair

Louis J. Heimbrock Sr., Inc. offers a wide range of installation capabilities. We can repair and install linings in our own facilities or the field. Typical installations include: firebrick work, plastic installation, conventional forming and pouring of castables, and ceramic fiber blanket and module installations. The company has over 100,000 square feet of shop space under roof - one of the largest refractory facilities in the Mid-West and South. This permits us to carry a comprehensive inventory of products for immediate delivery as emergencies arise.

Included within the shop is a large bay dedicated exclusively to precast shapes and in-house furnace linings. Our overhead electric bridge cranes permit us to handle shapes or furnaces up to 40,000 pounds on a routine basis. Heavier loads may also be accommodated, if required. Smaller furnaces, ducts, cyclones, and vessels that can be disconnected and lined in our shop at a considerable savings over field installation. Furthermore, shop lining provides the ultimate conditions for the successful installation of refractory products. We can control the temperature of air, water and material, as well as other environmental factors to ensure that we are mixing and installing in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. These controlled conditions in our shop environment allow us to produce consistently high quality parts and furnace linings. Our long list of satisfied customers bears testimony to our reputation for quality workmanship and the ability to get the job done right the first time.

We also offer pre-cast capabilities, from a 1 to 40,000 pounds. Typical shop offerings include: tap-out block, troughs, launders, kiln car block, boiler tile, baffle tile, duct linings, big block, abrasion resistant linings, including wear tile and epoxy, piers, and setters. Also, we can make just about any precast shape imaginable. We offer dry-out capabilities to 600º F as well as high fire capability when necessary.

On large equipment field lining becomes more economical. Our highly skilled field crew will ensure that your refractory installation and repair projects are completed in a timely manner and to the quality standards you demand. We welcome the opportunity to provide you with a free estimate on your refractory requirements. Let us put our experience to work for you.
